Scott Walker is an assistant managing editor at The Birmingham News, Alabama's largest newspaper and home of the 2007 Pulitzer Prize for investigative reporting.
A graduate of the University of Florida, Walker has more than 15 years of experience as an editor, designer and art director at daily newspapers.

In leadership positions and in hands-on roles, he has developed content and presentation for major story projects, launched several high-readership sections and implemented large-scale redesigns and technology changes. He regularly guides reporters, editors, designers, artists and photographers on deadline.

In 2005 and 2006, he led The News to its first international awards for design and editing from the Society for News Design and Picture of the Year International competitions.
